The Charleston Little Black Book
7 things we'd tell a friend before their Charleston weekend
01THE ONE RULE
DON’T PLAN CHARLESTON BY CHECKLIST
Charleston is better when you leave room to wander. Build around one or two anchors, then protect an hour with nowhere you have to be.
Try it: after lunch or before dinner, leave one block completely open. Take the prettier street, not the fastest one.
02THE WALK
THE BEST PART MAY BE BETWEEN THE STOPS
The doorway, garden glimpse, churchyard, iron gate, porch ceiling or tiny alley you didn’t schedule is often the thing you remember.
Try it: give everyone one 'wait, stop' moment. If someone says it, the group actually stops.
